The Notorious Brothers would like to thank everybody who attended their gig at J.B.s in Dudley on Sunday the 7th of October. Thanks to yourselves the band are very proud to announce this venue has booked them to appear once again on Friday the 7th of December 2007. Also the Robin R&B club has booked the band to appear in the new year. Without your support this would never have happened, bearing in mind the Sunday night gig was almost a trial run to find out if it would be worth the venue booking the band again. Because of you it was. Thank you all!

Welcome to a brave and exciting new era, it has been all change of late in the Notorious camp with many surprises. Andy Flynn's gone AWOL, Richard Rivett has had to make way because of the many presures of gigging and recording becoming a bit too much to handle and John Hill has left to get married!!!. Just another day in the world of Notorious you might say, I was talking to Melvin the other day and he said I think we've had more members than Spinal Tap have had drummers explode!.
But it's not just drummers exploding here, there was a guitar amp smoking & sparking at the last gig I witnessed whilst the band tuned up to Cliff's Living Doll!!! WHAT A MIND FREAKER!!!! Thus leaving the number of Brothers at one. But this is not so because already ace drummer Jimi "The Fish" Knowles has joined bringing with him much virtuosity and smooth vocals which contrast nicely with Melvin's more abrasives. Melvin & Jim had previously worked together (from 1997 'til 2002 to be precise) and Jim appeared on five Notorious albums and they also recorded the Superseed album together. It was Jimi who initially put Melvin in touch with Richard as a replacement for Kex. The bass player is Jonny Gracie and is experienced in many musical styles, he also brings with him another dimension utilising not only electric bass guitar but also double rock & roll, jazz acoustic bass, he is also a harmonica player and has a strong voice to boot! Melvin, Jonny & Jimi have started work right away rehearsing for the Brothers live performances and feel they know in which direction they're headed musically. Although the bands latest album "Radio BOSS presents the Marigold Summerday Show" was released only a couple of months ago Steven & Melvin have already started writing songs for a new album, of which I've heard demo's of seven new numbers!!! and Jimi & Jonny have brought with them many ideas of their own which they've had stored away for some time now, just waiting for the right moment.
We'll just have to keep an eye out for what's going to happen next, but whatever you do don't blink or you might miss something juicy!!!!!
